thanks all. talked to the shop steward about this tonight. seems the lawyer I have for work comp has lead the dept to believe I wont be back. if the dept wont let me back, it'll be one hell of a fight legally. as much as I hate it, I have to have it to pay bills. cant see how they can dispute what their work comp company doctor says. hell I even tested in strenght at therapy and passed that I can do the job! it was also brought up about the meds I'm on being too much for me to work. I definately have a doc that will dispute that.
If I knew I could get a job paying near what I make now, I'd fight them, hopefully win, and then quit. I'm sure a legal fight will lead them to looking for anything I do wrong.

the shop steward is going to try and do something about it tomorrow night at the board meeting. he seems to think if the doc says I can work, I should be able to. He's not too trustworthy of a person though. so I should find out tomorrow if I still have a job or am in serious trouble.

as far as teaching. I've never talked to any that were'nt working at a dept while doing teaching. and even if I drove the ambulance only, you still have to carry and lift the stretcher. if they would make up some kind of office job, I'd do that.

I'm pretty freaked out. its bad to hate something and worry about losing it. Hell I have a daughter's wedding to pay for over the next years, bills, another kid not far from college and know I'll never get a job that pays this well at my age with only this training. I'll be screwed. seems like anytime things start to go good, something pops up to screw me over in life.

What exactly do you do again Chaser?

I'll keep you in my prayers. I know how it is when you get in a tight spot. Me and my Dad had to file bankruptcy...
